Have you ever imagined yourself in the books of Laura Ingalls Wilder? Stuhr Museum can bring that adventure to life Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and 23 during our first ever “Little House on the Prairie For Women” class.
During this two day experience, you will have the opportunity to design and create your own hat. After checking into your historic home for the night, you will prepare your meal and enjoy an evening of parlor games and conversation. You will experience creating meals and all aspects of the prairie days, but don’t worry about roughing it too much as the Museum staff has plans set in place for those who appreciate modern conveniences.
The weekend begins at 10 a.m. Saturday morning and concludes after Sunday breakfast dishes are done. The night will be spent at the Stuhr Museum’s Milisen House in Railroad Town. The cost is $99 per person. The instructors are Renae Hunt, Saundra Bottger and Becky Pitman. Participants must pre-register. Class size is limited to 6 people.
