A tradition continues in Grand Island when the gates open on the 2007 Fonner Park season of thoroughbred horse racing. The thirty-eight day season continues through May 5 with "live" horse racing programs conducted Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Special racing thursday, April 5 and no racing Easter Sunday.
In addition to "live" horse racing, Fonner Park conducts nationwide simulcasting from all of the top tracks in the country. Enjoy west coast action from Santa Anita in California, east coast racing at Aqueduct in New York and everywhere in between. Simulcasting is conducted seven days a week and starts at 11:30.
There are also special events taking place at Fonner Park during the racing season. Look for updates throughout the season.
Admission: General admission is free. Parking is free. Box Seats, Skyline table seating, Clubhouse table seating and Turf Club table seating may be purchased for daily or season seating.
