Celebrate With Stuhr Museum During Our 30^th Annual “4^th of July Celebration”

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM — Celebrate the 4^th of July, and one very special anniversary this year at Stuhr Museum!

This year marks the 30^th time the museum has held the 4^th of July Celebration, which has become the museum’s signature event. Before the fireworks and barbecues, Stuhr presents this wholesome celebration of all things American from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 4^th.

Named "One of the Top 10 Places to Spend the 4th of July" by the Wall Street Journal, Stuhr Museum's 4^th of July Celebration features music, games, a pie eating contest, a flag-waving parade and hands-on activities perfect for summer fun. Hundreds of people have made the event part of their 4th of July tradition, and we hope you do too!

A schedule of events include:
10 a.m. - German Language Church Service, Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church (south grounds of the Museum). Printed English translations will be provided, and coffee, lemonade and cookies will be served following the service, which is organized by the Hall County Historical Society.

12-4 p.m. - Wagon Rides through Railroad Town for $1

2 p.m. - "Mammoth" parade down Front Street that the public can participate in!

Following the Patriotic Programme - Cherry Pie Eating Contest at the Depot and Kids
Games on the green just south of the Depot.

5 p.m. - Museum Closes.

The Stuhr Building features the summer exhibit “Generations of Sport” featuring dozens of games from our pioneer history through modern day. The Prairie Treasures Gift Shop will also feature specials for the 4^th of July weekend.
