The Grand Island Games (GIG) is an exciting new event coming this summer that features participants taking part in a wide variety of healthy activities. Island Wellness, Grand Island Parks and Recreation, and the YMCA have partnered together to bring this special team Olympic type event to the community. Participating teams can be made up of co-workers, neighborhoods, churches, or friends. The goal of this weekend event is to allow participants a chance to experience a wide variety of recreational activities, meet new people, build company pride, promote community unity, and have some good old fashion fun! Check in at Senior High Memorial Field at 8AM Saturday, July 12 with the first event starting at 8:30AM. Sunday's events start at 7:30AM. Events will take place at Grand Island Senior High, Westside Lanes, Stolley Park, Hall County Park and Island Oasis Water Park.
Entry fee: $15 Registration deadline is June 20th.
