Traveled by immigrants/ pioneers to California in 1849 - also known as the Mormon Trail, Military Road & some portions of the North Oregon Trail route

1.Stuhr Museum – east of Fonner Rotunda –   Marker stands guardian of this area of virgin prairie with pristine swales (wide shallow dip) formed by the thousands of wagons, people and livestock traveling through on this portion of the trail.   

2. Seedling Mile and Gun Barrel Road - Marker erected by Hall County Historical Society July 4, 1923. Other sites to designate the trail include;

3. Riverside Drive & Stagecoach Road – just a couple blocks west of South Locust Street.

4 Platte Valley Academy (east of Shelton - Platte Valley Drive & West Campus Drive)… the academy was recently torn down and marker moved.

5. Highway 11 (north of Wood River, .1 mile north of Old Military Road) - marker.
