The Nebraska State Fair was moved from Lincoln to Fonner Park in Grand Island in 2010. Five state-of-the-art buildings were constructed to accommodate the Fair including a climate-controlled Exhibition Building (100,000 square feet), Sheep Barn, climate controlled Ag Arena (2,000 seats), Cattle Barn, Swine Barn and 4-H building. Also on the property are the Heartland Events Center -- home to the Nebraska Danger -- the Fonner Park concourse and race track, indoor and outdoor horse arenas and large campground.
