The Crane Trust Nature & Visitor Center is located just south of I-80 Exit 305. The spacious interpretive center houses wildlife exhibits, a gift shop featuring Nebraska-made products, art gallery with award-winning photography and paintings by Nebraska artists, all of this along with premier meeting facilities. Two 100-foot walking bridges (handicap accessible) cross the Platte River and connect to miles of hiking trails — with trailside exhibits — through prairie, forest and wetland habitats. A live bison herd exhibit opens in June of 2012!
The Center serves as headquarters for the Spring Migration of Sandhill Cranes and month-long Wild About Nebraska speakers/event series which includes tours, programs and exhibits.
