841
acres of upland habitat in 3 separate parcels. Habitat includes
extensive shelterbelt and cover plantings as well as wildlife food
plots. It is a great place to find a good variety of sparrows and
passerines including brush-loving species such as Harris' sparrows,
white-crowned sparrows, American tree sparrows, spotted towhees and
shrikes, especially in winter and early spring. It is also very
attractive to raptors with annual sightings of prairie and peregrine
falcons. Long-eared owls have been seen here in recent winters and
upland gamebirds are common.
